After years of designing complex architectural facades and interiors at rat[LAB] Studio, we constantly faced challenges on-site—contractors misreading geometry, finishes getting compromised, and most importantly, designers being left out of the process they created.

In 2019, while working on OYO Workspaces across Hyderabad, Goa, Bangalore, and Chennai, we recognized the need for a design-sensitive turnkey contractor who could bridge this glaring gap. rat[LAB] designFAB was formed not just as a fabrication service, but as an execution ecosystem, deeply rooted in design knowledge and architectural empathy.
