Over the past decade, rat[LAB]EDUCATION has conducted a wide array of computational design workshops across the globe—both in-person and online—spanning diverse platforms such as the Global Visiting School (Online 2020–2022), Digital Futures, and more. While these workshops have historically been time-bound and exclusive, we’ve consistently received requests from students, designers, and professionals worldwide for continued access to our learning content. In response, we are introducing a Workshop Access System, where anyone can now purchase on-demand access to selected past workshops and clusters—complete with recorded video sessions, working files, and example scripts.
Workshops cover a wide range of tools and topics including Grasshopper, Mastering Grasshopper, Advanced Grasshopper Plug-ins, Rhinoceros, Maya, Cinema 4D, Coding with Processing, and more. With a single-click purchase link, you can choose one or more workshop clusters of your choice, mention them in the form, and receive access to the private recorded content via our YouTube (Unlisted Access) along with downloadable resources. Each purchase also grants complimentary registration to EDU[LAB] INDIA and EDU[LAB] GLOBAL, our upcoming community-driven platforms offering free resources, discussions, and curated content archives for long-term learning.

SPIRO]rat is a free plugin for Grasshopper3D developed by rat[LAB]EDUCATION in INDIA. It generates Epitrochoids and Hypotrochoids by representing the motion of pen in a classic spirograph. An infinite number of patterns can be generated through this plugin using #Rhino3D and #Grasshopper3D which can be translated into spatial formations.
rat[LAB]- Research in Architecture and Technology is the 1st Indian Design Studio to release a free-to-use GH Plugin as it’s contribution to the evolving Grasshopper3D community to promote use of technology in design through Computational Methods which the firm practices professionally.

[THE TOOL IS FREE FOR ALL & PROUDLY MADE IN INDIA]//
*There is a very interesting story to the creation of the tool which will be shared after the launch in press release.
rat[LAB] EDUCATION
rat[LAB] EDUCATION is an initiative by rat[LAB] to start a new discourse in architecture & parallel design disciplines with the use of ‘computational design’ & it’s various subsets. Spread across various cities / countries, we are establishing a global dialogue in the domain of computational design by actively organizing and participating in workshops, lectures, presentations & symposiums. While rat[LAB] has taken a top-down approach of exploring computational design through industry, a parallel, bottom-up approach is also in-line to involve students of all levels, from design & related backgrounds.
